Condition monitoring | Preventive maintenance

Free-standing exhaust systems / Industrial chimneys can be damaged by environmental influences, aggressive substances or changed operating conditions and mechanical loads. Nevertheless, in order to guarantee a flawless condition of the system, according to DIN EN 13084 / EN 1993-3-2 (formerly DIN V 4133) a regular condition monitoring has to be carried out by qualified persons.

Condition monitoring involves checking and logging the operation and condition of the exhaust system at a maximum interval of about two years. The log containing this inspection may contain recommendations for maintenance and repairs. Each operator of a free-standing chimney is obliged to have such a regular condition monitoring carried out with appropriate logging, similar to the car with TÜV.
