Fire Ordinance (FeuV)

The fire ordinance (in short: FeuV) regulates all requirements that are required for operation and installation of fireplaces. This includes combustion air supply, minimum distances to combustible components and the discharge of exhaust gases.

In addition, the storage and storage amount of fuels is regulated. Since the furnace ordinance is an area specific matter in Germany, hence in addition to the standard ordinance there are specific editions of respective federal states. It is important to know that specific requirements may differ. If the regulations of this ordinance are not obeyed, the chimney sweep must complain about this, as the operational and fire safety of the system cannot be guaranteed.
