Flue gas damper

The flue gas damper (exhaust flap) is installed in connection line between the boiler and the chimney and operated manually or with a boiler-controlled motor. They regulate the draft conditions in the chimney or, if necessary, completely close off the exhaust gas path in order to prevent the exhaust system or the installation room from cooling down when the heat generator is switched off. With several fireplaces connected to the same chimney, a closed exhaust flap prevents the flow of exhaust gases into a boiler that is not in operation.
