What is a label?

A label, usually a sticker, gives the most important information about the exhaust system and ensures a permanent identification.

Here, the exact type, the classification, the distance to combustible components and the number of the declaration of performance (DoP) and all essential features of the system are listed.

Where should the label be put?

The label should be positioned at such a place where it is protected from the weather and dirt. In exhaust systems that have been attached to an outer wall e.g. double walled stainless steel chimney, the label can be put on the inside of the lowest inspection opening if there is yet another cover for the exhaust-carrying inner tube. For concentric exhaust systems e.g. with plastic inner pipe and metallic outer pipe, the label can also be put on the connecting line in the installation room.

Do I need a label for the connection line?

You do not need a label for the connection line. Here, the declaration of performance (DoP) is sufficient as a proof of usability.
