Simultaneous connection of different appliances
This refers to a simultaneous connection of solid fuel stoves and gas or oil appliances to a chimney. A common such case is the connection of a stove and a gas or oil heater to a common exhaust system.
In principle, connection of different appliances is permitted if the fireplaces work with the same principle of operation or appropriate control devices (e.g. exhaust gas damper). Separate ducts for the different fireplaces are of course always preferable.
