Pressure relief valve| Explosion damper
In the operation of internal combustion engines, especially in gas engines, it is possible that incompletely burned fuel mixture enters the exhaust pipe and causes an explosion. Therefore, the installation of a pressure relief valve (explosion damper) is recommended especially for large systems. It automatically releases the excess pressure created by the explosion in fractions of a second, thus preventing damage to the exhaust pipe.
