Motorische Abgasklappen
Exhaust gas dampers are installed in the connecting pipe between the boiler and the chimney and are operated manually or with a boiler-controlled motor. They regulate the draft conditions in the chimney or, if necessary, close the exhaust gas path completely in order to prevent the exhaust system or the installation room from cooling down when the heat generator is switched off. With several fireplaces connected to the same chimney, a closed exhaust gas damper flap prevents the flow of exhaust gases into a boiler that is not in operation.
